Young and Green

Τhe Institute for Development and Innovation organized the panel discussion “Young and Green” on 28th September and presented the upPE-T project in Serbia. The event aimed to initiate discussion about green public policies among attendees and panelists. The main topics were:

• Recycling and social inclusion – how recycling and the problem of waste management have an impact on vulnerable groups, with a focus on young people, women, Roma, and senior citizens;
• Environment and the European Union – examples of good practices in the European Union –are they applicable in Serbia;
• Sustainable development goals and local activism – the role of local movements, are they the drivers of major changes in society;
• Corporate social responsibility – how companies contribute to the environment and examples of good practice.
